Partsimony founders share their journey launching a climate impact supply chain optimizer.

Parsimony founders Rich and Roland Mokuolu join Professor Joy Fairbanks and her Columbia student impact founders to share their founders' journey.

My student founders and I welcomed Rich and Roland Mokuolu, cofounders of Partsimony, as guest speakers to Columbia’s H4H impact venture incubator course last week.  The dynamic duo- who happen to be identical twins, engineers, former investment bankers, and distributed supply chain specialists- shared their story of launching a machine learning-enabled supply chain optimizer that addresses the pain points of commodity volatility, supply chain risks, and geopolitical disruptions.  Of particular interest to my students is Partsimony’s climate impact approach that allows environmental sustainability to be facilitated in the design stage of manufacturing demand.

Nobody was worried about supply chain disruptions when the founders first embarked on their product development journey six years ago.  Now, Partsimony works with customers across the automotive, aerospace, robotics, and medical device product segments to address such concerns.  The platform connects designers and innovators with manufacturers in a collaborative process to solve difficult, complex, and time sensitive requirements.  CEO Rich Mokuolu’s earlier career across various GE groups has given him insight into his clients’ needs and processes.

Last October, Closed Loop Partners, a circular economy-focused venture investor, led Partsimony’s $2 million seed round with participation from Contour Ventures PartnersUrban Us (now Third Sphere), and other top institutional and angel investors.

Thank you for sharing your journey with us, Rich and Roland!
